What is not covered

Model years 2023 through 2026:

  • Alteration, modification or tampering with the vehicle after final assembly, including its body, chassis, driveline or software.
  • Coverage where the odometer has been disconnected, its reading altered, or mileage cannot be determined.
  • Vehicles currently or previously titled as salvaged, scrapped, junked or otherwise considered a total loss: the warranty is void.
  • Damage from collision, fire, theft, freezing, vandalism, riot, explosion or objects striking the vehicle.
  • Damage from failure to follow the recommended maintenance schedule intervals.

Model years 2025 and 2026:

  • Damage from incompatible charging methods, or from a charging adapter that General Motors does not sell or approve.
  • Damage resulting from failure to install a Cadillac Over-the-Air software update within 45 days of it becoming available to the vehicle.

California, Massachusetts, New York, Oregon, Vermont and Washington

Model year 2026, vehicles under 10,000 lbs GVWR:

CoverageTermWhat triggers it
High voltage battery8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever occurs firstA defect in materials or workmanship that causes the battery state of health to deteriorate to less than 70%
Propulsion related part, long-term defects7 years or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs firstA defect in a propulsion-related part the booklet marks with an asterisk, among them the Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Pack, High Voltage Cables, Front Drive Unit, Rear Drive Unit, Drive Motor Power Inverter and Battery Charger
Propulsion related part, short-term defects3 years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs firstA defect in any propulsion-related part on the vehicle

This coverage applies where both hold: the vehicle is certified for sale in California, per its emission control information label, and it is serviced by an authorized GM dealership in California or in a state that has adopted California's emission warranty requirements. Where either fails, the terms above do not apply and the coverage in the rest of this booklet does.

A 2026 Lyriq carries both floors: 75% under Battery Capacity Coverage everywhere, and 70% state of health under the terms above where they apply.

Scope note

US-market Cadillac Lyriq, model years 2023 through 2026, each read from the Cadillac electric-vehicle warranty booklet published for that model year. The Lyriq-V is a separate model and sits outside this scope, as does model year 2027. The booklet delivered with a specific car is the authority for that car.
