  • Charging slows down as the battery recharges. GM's advice: charge to 80% for daily driving or when driving in mountainous terrain, and above 80% for long trips when the route is not mountainous.
  • Fast Charge Prep, if equipped, brings the battery to its optimal temperature for quicker DC charging. Adding a DC charge station to a Google Maps route starts it automatically. Started from the infotainment screen instead, begin it about 30 minutes before charging.
