Honda Prologue: Battery Warranty
Coverage at a glance
2025 model year
What is not covered
Honda excludes from the High Voltage Battery Warranty:
- Damaging the battery, or intentionally attempting — by physical means, programming, or other methods — to extend the life of the battery by means other than those the owner manual and Honda's own documentation specify, or to reduce its life.
- Exposing the battery to direct flame.
- Flooding the battery.
- Gradual energy or power loss with time and use, and loss resulting from battery usage, except to the extent the High Voltage Battery Warranty specifies.
- Noticeable changes in battery performance caused by the vehicle's wireless software updates.
Failure to follow Honda's recommended battery maintenance and charging procedures voids the High Voltage Battery Warranty.
The booklet's general exclusions reach the battery too:
- Improper charging procedures.
- A vehicle registered or normally driven outside the Warranty Territory.
- A vehicle ever declared a total loss, sold for salvage by a financial institution or insurer, or issued a salvage or similar title under any state's law.
- A vehicle whose odometer has been altered so the actual mileage cannot be determined.

Scope note
US retail Prologues, model years 2024 through 2026. Honda writes one warranty booklet per model year for its battery-electric vehicles rather than one per model, and the 2025 edition is the one read here — it scopes itself twice to a 2025 Honda automobile, so this sheet states 2025 terms only, exclusions included. The 2024 and 2026 battery-electric editions are absent from Honda's owner-document host, and the booklet delivered with a specific car is the authority for that car.
