Charge times

Model yearsType of EVSEEstimated charge time from a state of charge below 1%
2021, 2022, 2024, 2025, 2026Level 1 (120 V/15 A)Approximately 12 hours
2021, 2022, 2024, 2025, 2026Level 2 (240 V/30 A or 32 A)Approximately 2 hours
  • Jeep adds that a charge takes longer if a thermal self-protection reduces the current the EVSE delivers, and that with the ignition in ACC or RUN the charge indicator may stop at 99% while charging continues.

Charging equipment

Model yearsIncluded with the vehicleLevel 2 charger Jeep recommends for home installation
2021, 2022, 2024120 Volt AC, SAE J1772 Level 1 EVSE — the Portable Charging Cordset — stored in the rear cargo area below the load floorA 40 Amp Level 2 EVSE
2025, 2026120 Volt AC, SAE J1772 Level 1 EVSE — the Portable Charging Cordset — stored in the rear cargo area below the load floorA Level 2 EVSE charger with up to 48 amps
  • Level 1 charging needs a conventional NEMA 5-15R 120 Volt AC grounded wall outlet; the cordset's own AC plug is a NEMA 5-15P right-angle plug.
  • On 2025 and 2026 trucks Jeep directs owners to use only UL-certified (UL 2594) charging equipment.

  • Max Regeneration uses the regenerative braking system to slow the truck when the driver lifts off the accelerator, and stays selected until the driver turns it off.
  • With 4x4 engaged, all four wheels feed torque for regenerative braking; Jeep states the powertrain engages up to 0.25 g of regenerative braking on the brake pedal.

Scope note

US market, model years 2021 through 2026, from Jeep's own specification sheets, press kits, hybrid supplements and owner's manuals. Stellantis's specifications library holds no Wrangler 4xe sheet for 2022 or 2026, and Mopar's publication host served no 2023 hybrid supplement, so those year-and-source combinations carry no row here. Where a year's specification sheet and that year's press kit give different pack figures, both are shown.
